VOLUNTEER

Volunteers play a vital role Serenity Farm! With approximately 50 volunteers giving freely of their time and efforts, we are able to offer programming to our community through several avenues.

Beginning with our Board of Trustees, these professional individuals make a 2 to 3 year commitment to serve on the non-profit board. Four positions hold an executive office, while the other members are responsible for an area of business.

Lucky Riders Program: Volunteers are carefully screened, trained and scheduled to work on teams to facilitate the handicap riding program. Volunteers in this area must present good physical health, work in small teams, be comfortable around horses, be punctual for each appointment and go through our 3-hour training session and application process before beginning.

Pet Paws Program: Volunteers in this program must go through an application process with their pet before beginning. We ask volunteers in this area to work in small teams, be punctual for each appointment and be comfortable with different populations. Training session applies.

Fund Raising Efforts: Volunteers in this area are asked to make a commitment to an event and follow it through to completion. Events are normally set a year in advance for excellent planning and successful execution of event.

We welcome volunteers into Serenity Farm to become part of a very friendly/family-like/faith based organization. Minimum age for volunteers is 18, however some exceptions may be made if parents are involved as well.
