PET PAWS
What is Pet Paws?
Pet Paws, our small animal therapy visitation program, has been
widely successful throughout the county. With the use of carefully
selected pets and trained volunteers, we travel to schools and county
agencies to share the warmth and love of our many pets.
We make special arrangements to
visit classrooms for children and adults with disabilities, offer
sensory integration and stimulation opportunities for motivation,
address depression and calming moments.
Our appointments over the past
5 years have brought many smiles, hugs and kisses to the students
that we visit monthly. Through the use of dedicated volunteers,
willing to share several hours per month, we walk away from each
appointment wondering who really received the therapeutic benefits
from these loving animals - the students or our volunteers!
This program is an animal-assisted
learning program for schools and other facilities. Call Kelly for
