Our farm located in Luckey, Ohio, just southeast of Toledo, offers quality, safe, skilled services to many clients, companies and professionals.

Therapeutic Riding (Lucky Riders) is available from April through October each year, with certified instructors and adult professional volunteers.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (Changing Directions) is offered 12 months per year with licensed mental healthy professionals, certified to offer equine assisted therapy in practice.

Pet Paws, our small animal visitation program is available 12 months per year with the use of certified therapy dogs and adult volunteers.

Serenity Farm Professional Staff:

Jennifer Gilliland, Professional Clinical Counselor, Registered/Licensed Dietician, Certified Equine Assisted Therapy, development and co-facilitator for all workshops, speaker, and provides private practice office appointments at the farm.

Michelle Reiter, NARHA Certifed Riding Instructor, Masters of Education in Reading, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Grades 1-8, Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Developmental Disabilities. Certified Riding Instructor for Individuals with Disabilities through NARHA. Michelle began her teaching career at Lark Lane and then moved to Jay Shuer in Oregon through the Lucas County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. She is currently a 2nd grade teacher in the Northwood Local School District. Michelle is the mother of Ryan, age 10 and Jordan, age 8. She spent her youth as a member of the 4-H program in Wood County with several of herhorses. She currently owns, Rugged Rhapsody, also known as Calvin, a 10 year old quarter horse gelding whom her daughter and she continue to learn from every day.

Debra DeHoff, Executive Director, Advanced Equine Specialist, National/International Mentor for Equine Assisted Therapy, Certified Riding Instructor for Disabilities through The North America Riders for Handicap Association, Published Author of 12 Steps with Results and Equine Assisted Therapy, Pencils to Hoof Picks: using equine assisted therapy to "unlock" learning styles in students and find the "why" for failing grades. Co-facilitator for all workshops taught at the farm, with development of the 12 Steps, Pencils to Hoof Picks, Blending Step Families, Setting Boundaries for professional staff members, Help for Caregivers and In Service opportunities for teachers.
